Through our Undergraduate Mentorship Program, students build close relationships with high-level professionals in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math), who help nurture their career aspirations and intellectual development.

The program is particularly focused on reaching out to women and students from other underrepresented groups. Through interaction with program mentors, these students build critical confidence and plant the seeds for long-term career success. Mentors conduct mock interviews, review mentee resumes and host mentees during site visits to their workplaces.

Seasoned professionals can also mentor our students through the Butterworth/Beall Product Development Competition. Designed to encourage the creation of new technologies with potential for commercialization, the competition pairs students with mentors who can help evaluate ideas and products on their technological merits and potential to impact the marketplace.
